It had incredible potential and a great cast (love Angelica Houston and Sam Rockwell); but a piss-poor script adaptation on top of a botched editing job really screwed this one.
I can't agree completely. While I to think that movie adaptations usually suck ass, and so perhaps my expectations were naturally lowered, I think it captured Victor's fucked-up-edness pretty well.
I did laugh out loud several times. But definitely not as much as I did when I read the book!
Aw, that's really disappointing. Sorry you wasted the cash dood. The previews really made it look worthwhile.
